It’s hard to find a better central Sydney location than this. This studio apartment is 2 minutes walk from Circular Quay (Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House). Multiple train stations are minutes walk away (Circular Quay station, Circular Wynyard, Martin Place), which can take you to all of Sydney’s hot spots, or out to the blue mountains and beyond. As you’d expect in such a vibrant area—you may notice some typical city activity and sound at times.
Given its heart of Sydney location, this apartment is surrounded by a variety of bars and restaurants of all types, including Sydney’s finest high-end offerings (such the three Michelin Star ‘Quay Restaurant’). The Rocks, a neighbourhood of historic laneways in the shadow of Sydney Harbour Bridge including historic pubs, open-air Markets, street food, and handmade fashions, is a 5-minute stroll from the building.
You will find the apartment comfortable with good internal lighting. As the building is heritage listed and located in the heart of Sydney, natural daylight can be limited due to the building layout, surrounding buildings, and outlook. The windows are clear glass, arranged in three vertical panes, and only the middle pane can be opened partially.
The studio apartment itself is well fitted out and is located in the historic heritage listed Cliveden building, has air-conditioning, and includes access to a rooftop pool. All in all, this studio is an ideal option for executive or recreational travellers.

“After reading several reviews, we weren’t sure whether to book or not. After spending five days in this apartment, I can say that I don’t understand the negative reviews. Apartment with everything you need to spend a few days: kitchen, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. Unbeatable location with a spectacular rooftop pool. It's true that it's dark; the window overlooks a naturally lit courtyard. However, if you plan to spend the day exploring Sydney, that shouldn't be a concern. The check-in process can be a bit complicated (you have to go to a nearby store to pick up the keys, provide a code, etc.), but with the explanations provided, it all works out in the end. We would definitely come back!!!”

“If you’re planning to go to Sydney this is the place. It was very affordable compared to the other airbnbs/hotels and it is perfect for two people. There isn’t that much natural daylight that comes in because of the way the buildings are but you’re going to tour the city not be in the room. So that was the only negative. The light train is on the corner and pretty much everything is walking distance if you want to get your steps in. Ana was a great host and this was a great deal. So if you’re thinking about going to Sydney definitely a great spot to stay in.”

“This was my second stay at this AIRbnb and I chose to go back because it was enough for what I needed and in a great location. The kitchen is supplied well, comfortable bed, and bath with washer/dryer makes this a good studio apartment for a long weekend or a few weeks stay. Tammy, at The Apartment Service, was a good trouble shooter and made herself available when needed. She is easy to talk with, especially when you get to know her. Like my previous review, the only window (with interior shutters) in the apartment looks down at an alley way and over at a windowless buidling. At least no one is peering in and the alley way appears to have no access, so no people are making a short cut through. There is limited natural light. You can have the window open a crack for air circulation. The ceilings are high and the window itself is large so it makes the room seem roomier. This studio apartment is good for no more than 2 people.”

“I lived in this small studio apartment for 2 months, so I experienced the pros and cons. I was solo. The location is fabulous!! Close to conveniences. Short walk to Circular Quay, yet quiet. The ceiling is high, so it felt like it added more space. Bath has washer/dryer. The bed is comfortable and nice lighting in the headboard for night time reading. TV can be viewed while in bed and kitchen which was a plus for me because I did a lot of stove top/microwave cooking. Kitchen had good quality appliances, dishware and utensils. If used, chairs are comfortable; table was useful. A/C had to be adjusted now & then. Even though the window is large, it looks out to the side of another building with alley way, so it doesn't get enough natural light. Pros on that one is that you can leave the shutters open without anyone seeing into your studio. The window does tilt out for fresh air. There are security cameras everywhere and can be seen on the TV. People live and work in the building.”
“We loved our stay! The apartment was great. Clean, spacious and just what we needed. The building is quite private and secure and we didn’t have any issues with noise at all. Location is perfect too for people who want to be in the CBD! The only thing I would mention is that the window looks directly to the other buildings wall so you don’t see any sun or view or anything but we didn’t mind! Have already recommended to friends! Would 100% stay again when we come back!”

“The apartment was very conveniently located near the Botanic Gardens, 2 min walk from light rail station and with 10/15 min walk of the Rocks / Circular Quay. The small kitchen was well equipped although strangely there were no plates or bowls (not that I could find anyway). One thing to note on this apartment was that the only window faced onto a brick wall so there is no natural light. Overall, this apartment was very central to all the attractions and was perfect for me being close to my office building as I was visiting Sydney on a business trip.”
