Tucked into the quiet, leafy end of Coogee, this bright and comfortable two-bedroom apartment in the boutique “azure” building is an easy stroll from the sand, the ocean pools and the Coogee to Clovelly coastal walk. Set on the first floor with a private balcony, warm timber parquetry floors and a rare lock-up garage, it’s a relaxed beachside base with room for the whole family.

The open-plan living and dining area is warm and welcoming, with polished parquetry floors, a smart TV, comfortable lounge seating and a dining table for four. Glass sliding doors open to a private balcony with – a nice spot for a morning coffee. The separate kitchen is well equipped for cooking in, with an electric cooktop, oven, microwave, fridge and all the everyday basics.

Both bedrooms are generous and framed by greenery through the windows: the master with a queen bed and built-in robe, and the second with a double bed and built-in robe, comfortably sleeping up to four. The combined bathroom and laundry is neat and practical, with a bathtub, shower over bath, wall-hung vanity and a washing machine.

Downstairs, a secure lock-up garagewith an extr car spot in front of it takes the stress out of beachside parking,while the building’s landscaped communal garden – with paved terraces, native planting and quiet seating – is a lovely place to unwind after a day at the beach.

Neighbourhood Guide: Coogee
Coogee is a beloved eastern beachside suburb famous for its family-friendly beach, crystal-clear rock pools and spectacular coastal walk. Less intense than Bondi but just as beautiful, Coogee blends laid-back beach-town charm with great restaurants, lively pubs and a strong sense of community, all within easy reach of the city.

Dining & cafes: Coogee Bay Road is the main strip, running from the beachfront uphill and lined with cafes, pubs, casual eats and Italian, Japanese and Mexican restaurants. Arden Street and Brook Street are home to acclaimed wine bars, bistros and specialty coffee spots, while the beachfront itself has fish-and-chips takeaways, ice-cream shops and brunch favourites. The multi-level Coogee Pavilion, with its restaurants, bars and rooftop, is a local institution.

Transport & access: Frequent bus routes reach the CBD in around 25 to 30 minutes, while the L2/L3 light rail at nearby Randwick offers a fast, turn-up-and-go connection into the city. The Randwick health and education precinct – Sydney Children’s Hospital, the Prince of Wales Hospital and UNSW – is only a short bus ride or drive away, making this a handy base for medical or university stays. Attractions & things to do: Coogee Beach is the main event – a protected swimming bay with two heritage ocean pools (Wylie’s Baths and McIver’s Ladies’ Baths, one of Australia’s oldest women-only pools).
