Dining & cafes: Coogee Bay Road is the main strip and runs from the beachfront uphill, lined with cafes, pubs, casual eats and Italian, Japanese and Mexican restaurants. The beachfront itself has a mix of fish-and-chips takeaways, ice-cream shops and brunch favourites. Arden Street and Brook Street are home to acclaimed wine bars, bistros and specialty coffee spots. Transport & access: Coogee is served by frequent bus routes to the CBD – the 372, 373 and 374 reach Central Station in around 25 to 30 minutes.
