Coogee is a beloved eastern beachside suburb famous for its family-friendly beach, crystal-clear rock pools and spectacular coastal walk. Less intense than Bondi but just as beautiful, Coogee blends laid-back beach town vibes with great restaurants, lively pubs and a strong sense of community.

Dining & cafes: Coogee Bay Road is the main strip and runs from the beachfront uphill, lined with cafes, pubs, casual eats and Italian, Japanese and Mexican restaurants. The beachfront itself has a mix of fish-and-chips takeaways, ice-cream shops and brunch favourites. Arden Street and Brook Street are home to acclaimed wine bars, bistros and specialty coffee spots.
